Crude oil drivers are some of the most sought out truck drivers in the country. They are also some of the highest paid. It is difficult work, and is much more labor-intensive than most driving positions. Most crude driving positions are 12+ hour shifts, 5-6 days per week- and work is outside at the oil well where drivers are responsible for testing, gauging and loading their tank trucks with crude oil from the well- often in very difficult weather conditions.

That said, for those willing to work hard and pay attention to details, the pay can be considerable. Pay for crude drivers vary from oilfield to oilfield, and from company to company. However, on average the pay is $250-325 per day (based on a standard allowable workday not exceeding hours of service limits). Working full time and taking a month vacation each year, crude drivers routinely gross $85,000 – $95,000 per year as employees.

The companies we work with all hire their drivers legally as employees. We do not represent companies that hire drivers into owner-operator programs that can often significantly reduce driver’s pay (while seeming to offer a much greater opportunity). By completing an application with CrudeDrivers.com, you will have an opportunity to interview for open positions with companies looking to hire immediately. Most of the companies on CrudeDrivers.com are willing to train solid drivers who have never worked with crude oil, but who have the aptitude, skills, and commitment to be good employees.

If you meet the minimum qualification listed to the right, we encourage you to complete our online application  if you would like to get hired immediately!
